Las fiestas comenzaron hoy, el "Carnaval" en el Ecuador es una de la festividades más importantes, tiene algunas raíces católicas, pero en realidad la gente se vuelve loca. Hay un montón de celebraciones, fiestas y desfiles.
Agua, harina (si la harina! Lo digo en serio), huevos, flores, frutas y pintura, son los principales protagonistas. La gente se arroja todo esto, las personas jóvenes sobre todo. Es divertido si te gusta ser golpeado con un globo de agua, si te gusta mojarte y si te gusta parecer un pastel listo para entrar en el horno.
Así que no habrá trabajo el lunes y martes, y la temporada de playa está ha comenzado.
Todo es una locura en esta temporada, las playas deben estar totalmente llenas, y mi novio y yo queríamos ir a la playa (y no soy una persona muy de playa, raro verdad), pero ya que lo decidimos a última hora y por algunas otras razones, parece un poco imposible.
Ya les contare si finalmente logramos irnos. No tenemos un plan B de todas formas, dejaremos que las cosas pasen = )
The holidays began today, the "Carnaval" in Ecuador is one of the most important festivity, it has some catholics roots, but people gets crazy. There are a lot of celebrations, parties, and parades.
Water, flour (yes flour! I mean it), eggs, flowers, fruits and painting, are the main protagonists. People throw all this each other, well young people mainly. It's funny if you like to be hit with a water ballon, if you like to get wet and look like a cake ready to get into the oven.
So there's no work on monday and tuesday, and the beach season is on already.
Everything is crazy in this season, beaches must be full already, and my boyfriend and I wanted to go to the beach (and Im not a beach person), but since we decided it late and for some other reasons, this trip looks kind of impossible, but I let you know if it happens. We don't have a plan b anyway, we just let it be.
